How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Our media represents the late teens, "nerd" and indie social Groups.

The late teen social group is represented as having responsibility but still immature as our characters can drive and be aloud to go to town shopping by themselves but are still caught making rude/crude jokes and worried about being cool as seen in most American teen or buddy comedies.

The nerd aspect of the product is very much the American stereo type of a book worm, computer wise and video playing teenage boy with glasses. The character of Christoper shows that even when labeled as a "nerd" doesn't mean he can't do anything about it.

With this sort of stereotype being portrayed the film would be assessible by the target audience, as they would be able to recognise the types of people within the film, this would allow them to find the jokes funny which would boost the films ratings and make it like dthroughout the community.

By indie social group we meant as in people who dress and listen to bands such as the kooks, Arctic monkeys and the babyshambels. With waist coats, ties and normally long stylish hair cuts.

As done within many comedies our product plays very much on stereo types so all social groups are represented as thought of by the public eye.
