Who would be the audience for your media product?

Our media product would have the late teens audience so ranging from around 16/17 to around the 21/22 margin with other ages coming in depending on age restrictions and sense of humour.

The audience would of seen other type films and would have to find immaturity funny to really grasp the film. The A-level aged audience would also be able to relate to the characters as being similar ages and may of been in some of the same scenarios.

Age Rescritions

Through the media there are certain rescritions which hold back some films to some audiences, these ratings resrict people underage from watching the film because of some indecent exposure to the younger ages.
The films which we have styled our film on hold a '15' age rating, which is appropriate because of what is shown and said.
Although "Shaun of the dead" is a horror film, which has some blood and guts, the film does not show any real signs of pure violence, causing pain which would be rated as slasher, which would cause the film to be of a higher rating.
The comedy film which we have styled our films on for example "Superbad", are rated so high because of the gross out comedy and grotest language which is said throughout the film which would cause offence to the viewer.
This type of rating would be appropriate for our filmbecause a use of harsher language would be used throughout the film which would be used at the same age of the viewers and the cast.

Sense of humor

The sense of humor within the film would portray the type of person who would view the film, this is because certain ages of the film would find the film attractive to viewandlaugh at, this would mean that the audeince would be of a immature state of mind, older teens. This would allow the jokes to be said fully and the innuendo and euphemism's which would be implied understood by the viewer.

Concidering that the main characters are male, this would pose a gender stereotype of the film to be a male, as they would understand the types of jokes which would be said, allowing the males to view the film with more ease which means they would find it more funny.

Females would also be able to view the film because the jokes would not be fully gross out, and allow females to view the film and have fun while watching it. The jokes, concidering the two main characters are male would be mainly about girls, and the topic of sex, although not generally associated with a female film, females could still view the film and have fun throughout the jokes because they know what is being said, and would be able to find the funny side.

The characters would also be a factor in how they would find it funny, this is because a nerd would generally not be associated with sex/dirty jokes. This aspect of the comedy is accessible by everyone which would allow the viewer of any gender to find it funny.

Relating to the same scenarios

Since the film is aimed at the late teens it would allow them to know the type of jokes which would be said within the film, as they would be ableto relate to the jokes. This attitude of relating to the film would allow the audience to know the little jokes which would make the film subtly funny which the audience would pick up on if they were the age which was written within the age rating.
